What do analysts expect in face of a new interest rate cut?

The European Central Bank (ECB) may once again reduce deposit interest rates in June, this time to 2%, according to monetary policy analysts' estimates.

The information was shared on Notícias ao Minuto and also indicates that this trend is expected to continue until the beginning of 2028, when a possible gradual increase is predicted.

Expectations rise after the latest 25 basis point cut, at a time when inflation continues to slow down and the European economic scenario remains shrouded in uncertainty.

"The ECB warns that growth prospects have deteriorated due to increasing trade tensions."

Note that the following ECB monetary policy meeting will be on June 4 and 5 in Frankfurt.
