According to the Authority for Working Conditions, in response to frequently asked questions published on its website, it explains that the normal working period cannot exceed eight hours per day, that is, forty hours per week.
"There is a fifteen-minute grace period for transactions, operations, or other tasks started and not finished at the established time for the end of the normal daily working period, with such tolerance being of an exceptional nature," reads the website .
Given that the additional work in question must be “paid upon completing four hours or at the end of the calendar year”.
However, note that the maximum limits may be reduced. According to ACT "the maximum limits of the normal working period may be reduced by a collective labor regulation instrument, resulting in no decrease in worker salaries."
