Where to go for a budget-friendly autumn getaway?

Even if it's just for a weekend, getaways can be essential for us to escape from routine, rest from work, and discover new destinations.  

Even though they may have a high cost in the wallet, it is always possible to opt for cheaper destinations so that the impact on finances is not so high.

Some destinations in Europe are perfect for those who do not want to spend much money! Such is the case of Sarajevo, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where accommodations and food are affordable, with lots of history and culture to visit.

Another example is Budapest, Hungary, which is a top destination in this category: most attractions in the city are free, and there are plenty of typical dishes, beer, and other drinks at a low cost.  

In addition, you can also enjoy a cheap autumn getaway in cities like Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic; Sofia in Bulgaria; Bucharest in Romania; Krakow and Warsaw in Poland; Belgrade in Serbia; Zagreb in Croatia; and Bratislava in Slovakia.
