According to the website, to access the Housing Allowance, it is necessary to be a beneficiary of the Special Social Security Fund for Insurance Professionals and:
- Being married or living in a common-law relationship, or
- To have children or young people in your care entitled to family allowance, in the case of being single, separated, divorced or widowed.
It is also stated that this benefit is completely independent of the other benefits of Social Security.
It is important to note that the Special Social Security Fund for Insurance Professionals is aimed at workers and pensioners in insurance companies, insurance intermediaries, unions, sector associations, and insurance regulatory bodies.
According to the law, this fund is financed with 1% of the salary of these workers.
What is the value of support?
The Home Allowance amount is defined annually and applies from April 1 of each year until March of the following year, inclusive.
According to the available information, the Home Allowance from April 1, 2025 is €39.73 per month.
