According to conclusions from Cetelem Observer, shared by Notícias ao Minuto, approximately 39% of Portuguese people are considering postponing major projects due to lack of purchasing power.
The study had 1,000 respondents and revealed the concerns of the Portuguese in the last year. Although the purchasing power has led the Portuguese to postpone projects, "despite the current economic situation, 13% revealed to have more desire to carry out major projects and 26% maintain the desire to make them happen," reads the news.
The age group that most claims to delay the realization of projects is the 25 to 34 years old, and before that, the 18 to 24 years old group is the one with more respondents "answering that they have more desire to carry out big projects".
The projects in question, which the Portuguese intend to carry out in the next two years, are traveling (41%), home improvements (30%), and buying a car (29%).
The news also explains that the study concluded at the end of the year that "8 out of 10 Portuguese people wanted to travel this year", as well as practicing sports (34%), remodeling the house (27%), starting a savings plan (24%), buying a new vehicle (23%), adopting a healthier diet (22%), changing jobs (17%) or returning to studies (11%).
