Pix comes from Brazil and is the new form of digital payment in Portugal.

The new payment method, most used in Brazil, now arrives in national territory and promises to facilitate transactions for Brazilian citizens in Portugal. Pix is the main digital payment method in Brazil, and arrives in Portugal with similarities to MB Way.

Second statement from UNICRE sent to Notícias ao Minuto, this is a response to the growth of tourism in Portugal, to facilitate transactions for the over one million Brazilian citizens who visit Portugal annually.

UNICRE has partnered with Braza Bank, becoming the first player in the payments market to accept the Pix payment method. This implementation represents a more convenient, familiar, secure, and economical transactional solution, as the costs associated with the transaction are lower than card transactions, while the conversion from Brazilian real to euro is automatically done at the time of payment.

According to the note released, the use of Pix offers merchants complete security in the payment process, as this method "provides a payment acceptance experience similar to what the merchant already has with other card payments".

"Our commitment involves opening doors to a greater streamlining of the payment process, maintaining its simplicity with the expansion of our acceptance network to different international payment methods - a measure crucial to boost the competitiveness of our clients," said the president of the financial institution, João Baptista Leite, in the same statement cited by the news website."

The Chief Business Officer of Braza Bank, Marcelo Sá, explains that this partnership is "a way to bring more agility to merchants, in addition to facilitating purchases for Brazilians in Portugal."
