Buying a house: What are the most sought-after municipalities in Portugal?

Through analysis of Idealista shared in Notícias ao Minuto, it was possible to identify which municipalities near Lisbon are most sought after to buy homes in Portugal.

"Of the 50 most sought-after municipalities to buy a house in Portugal (with more than 500 properties for sale), 20 are located in Greater Lisbon and completely dominate the top ten positions in this ranking," the news reads.

Amadora is "the most sought-after municipality for purchasing housing, followed by Odivelas, Oeiras, Vila Franca de Xira, and Loures, according to idealista/data's data for the last quarter of 2024".
