Buying a house with a pool in Portugal is 61% more expensive.

According to analysis by Idealista, shared by Notícias ao Minuto, buying a house with a pool in Portugal costs, on average, 61% more than buying a house without one.  

The data also concludes that 12.1% of apartments for sale in Portugal have the convenience of a swimming pool, with only 11.2% of apartments advertised on the platform in Portugal having a pool as an extra.

In addition, it can be seen that the city of Évora was where the greatest price difference occurred between buying a house with or without a pool, as with a pool they are 86% more expensive.  

Next, there is Setúbal (85.7% more expensive), Lisbon (65.4% more expensive), Castelo Branco (55.3% more expensive), Coimbra (49% more expensive), Ponta Delgada (46.2% more expensive), Braga (40.4% more expensive), Aveiro (36.4% more expensive) and Beja (33.8% more expensive).  

Cities with less than 30% price difference include Porto (28.8% more expensive), Viseu (20.1% more expensive), Faro (16.9% more expensive), Funchal (14.1% more expensive), Leiria (11.1% more expensive), and Vila Real (1.7% more expensive).

Cities with fewer apartments for sale with a swimming pool are Funchal (43.9%), Faro (23.8%), Lisbon (9.9%), Ponta Delgada (7.1%), Évora (6.8%), Porto (6.5%), Braga (4.5%), Beja (2.4%), Leiria (1.6%), Coimbra (1.5%), Castelo Branco (1.1%), and Aveiro (1%). And with less than 1% of apartments with a swimming pool for sale, we have the cities of Vila Real (0.9%), Setúbal (0.7%), and Viseu (0.2%).
